Those Looking Up to the Stars, located beside Myllysilta Bridge, consists of four sculptures representing different stages of human life. The figures, whose visual language draws inspiration from the world of cartoons and is characterised by exaggerated and distorted anatomical forms, express dreams, contemplation and the ability to pause in the present moment.
In Yesterday, an older woman with hair rollers smiles as she looks up at the sky. The figure conveys a sense of life experience and contemplation, as well as a warm relationship with memories and the past.
