Artist Kimmo Ojaniemi’s bronze sculpture marks the site where St Olaf’s Convent once stood. The bronze work consists of silhouettes of Dominican friars walking with staffs and is mounted on a diabase pedestal.

The seal of St Olaf’s Convent and a floor plan of the former monastery building, based on archaeological excavations, have been engraved into the pedestal.

The work also includes a brass gate symbolising the entrance to the monastery.
