Artist Kain Tapper’s environmental artwork Flow of Time is a memorial to fleeting moments and the generations that came before us. The work marks the edge of the Old Great Square and the route of the former street.

The stream of water that flows along the top of the artwork before descending into the ground as a small waterfall can be seen as a symbol of the limited course of an individual human life. At the same time, water, a timeless symbol of life, never disappears completely as it evaporates, but merely changes form.
