Turku Castle provides a stunning setting for various occasions. In the Renaissance-era banquet floor, events can be held in the King’s Hall, Queen’s Hall, Queen’s Chamber, or the Southern Hall.
The bright and beautiful Castle Church is one of Turku’s most popular wedding venues. For a truly unique atmosphere, the Lords’ Cellar, one of the castle’s oldest rooms, offers an extraordinary space for more intimate celebrations.
On the top floor, the magnificent Bryggman Hall is especially well-suited for hosting lectures and seminars.

The King’s Hall, the largest room in the banquet floor built by Duke John of Finland in the 1550s, is an ideal setting for high-profile celebrations. Spacious and filled with natural light, the hall features large window alcoves that create cosy corners for socialising.

The Queen’s Hall served as the gathering place for Catherine Jagiellon, the spouse of Duke John, and her Polish court. This stunning Renaissance hall is filled with natural light streaming through its large windows. At the far end of the hall lies the Queen’s Chamber.

As its name suggests, the Queen’s Chamber once served as Catherine Jagiellon’s bedroom. This regal yet cosy living space offers an elegant setting for smaller gatherings and events.

The South Hall is a flexible and welcoming venue, illuminated by large windows that let in natural light from two directions.

Originally used as a banquet hall for the ducal court, the space was transformed into a church in 1706 and furnished with regal throne-like chairs. Today, the Castle Church is a popular choice for weddings and also serves as a venue for concerts.

Located on the top floor of the main castle, Bryggman Hall accommodates up to 120 people for lectures. This accessible venue can also be adapted for celebrations, seating up to 80 guests at tables.

The Lords’ Cellar is among the castle’s most prestigious rooms, where the land court, established in Turku by Eric of Pomerania in the 15th century, once held its sessions. The stunning vaulted ceilings lend the cellar an atmosphere of unparalleled character and charm.
