In these\u202fwords\u202fthe artist \u202fTabita\u202fRezaire<\/strong>\u202fdescribes her work\u202f<\/span>Ultra\u202fWet\u202f<\/span><\/i><\/b>\u2013<\/span><\/b>\u202fRecapitulation<\/span><\/i><\/b>.\u202fPlaced at the very center of the darkened exhibition space, the\u202fvideo\u202fprojection narrates a symbolic journey into the wisdom\u202fand indigenous traditions\u202fof pre-colonial Africa, where the wombs of both the earth and women were sacred. Through colorful textures and floating<\/span>\u202f<\/span>flowers, serpents, and galaxies, the video takes us through the natural and celestial realms from the village of Credo\u202fMutwa\u202f(a South African traditional healer) to the sandy landscape of Egypt and computerized worlds.<\/span>\u202f<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

In dialogue with feminist and\u202fdecolonial\u202fconcerns,\u202fRezaire\u2019s\u202fwork is rooted in a knowledge that encompasses\u202fdiverse sources and traditions<\/span>.\u202fIt\u202fdelves\u202f<\/span>into the histories of sexuality, healing, globalization, and scientific investigation.<\/span>\u202f<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Tabita\u202fRezaire<\/span><\/b>\u202f(b. 1989, Paris) is an artist, yogi, doula, and farming student.\u202fEmbracing digital, corporeal and ancestral memory, she digs\u202finto scientific imaginaries and\u202fmystical realms to tackle the colonial wounds and energetic imbalances that affect our\u202fbodies,\u202fminds and\u202fspirits.\u202f<\/span>\u202f<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Rezaire\u202fis based near Cayenne in French Guiana, where she is birthing\u202fAMAKABA\u2014her vision for a healing center in the\u202fAmazonian\u202fforest.\u202fRezaire\u2019s\u202fcross-dimensional practice envisions network\u202fsciences\u2014organic, electronic and spiritual\u2014as healing technologies to serve the shift towards\u202fher idea of\u202fheart\u202fconsciousness.\u202f<\/span><\/p>\n
